New Parent Support Group

Ditmas Park, Brooklyn

The transition to parenthood is an experience that is hard to understand until you’re in it, and hard to remember once you aren’t. When you sit with the people who are going through it also, it’s clear that though even if your personal experience may be unique, one thing is for sure: this shit is crazy, and it feels really good to talk about it.

This group offers a consistent community and facilitated discussion so the conversation can move beyond sleep schedules and baby carriers and address some of the more emotional twists and turns you are journeying through. The group is a best fit for birthing parents of 0-12 month olds. Other new parents (i.e. parents of older babies, adoptive, or non-birthing partners) are welcome in the group, but should reach out to me first to talk about group content and their personal comfort level.

Six sessions, Fridays 11:00 - 12:15, $270 - in person, babies welcome

FSA or HSA eligible and may qualify for out of network insurance reimbursement.

New group starting May 9th

About me

Hi, I'm Erynn! I am a clinical social worker with 10 years in private practice and a Ditmas Park based mom of two. My specialty area is the perinatal period, and I have supported dozens of new parents as they find their way through pregnancy, birth, and who they are in this new role. Before the pandemic, I co-facilitated a New Parent Support Group at Juniper Yoga in Prospect Heights with Pelvic Floor OT (and neighbor!) Sonia Reiter. I am excited to now offer this place of support to my own neighborhood!

You can read more about my practice or contact me here.
